Petr Svoboda is the winner of the trip for 2 people to Zaragoza in the Volunteering Erasmus+ Awards.

Originary from Czech Republic, he won the prize thanks to his video Challenge yourself with Erasmus+ about his experience as a volunteer in Croatia.

Petr travelled to Zaragoza with Andrea. They stayed from friday 28th until Sunday 30th of October at the city center located Hotel Hispania. From there they could tour the city on the Touristic Bus that drove them to all the most emblematic places of the city, such as the Aljaferia Palace or the Aquarium. All these entities have collaborated with the prize and offer discount to the European Youth Card holders. This is Petr testimony:

“Zaragoza, city full of life"

It started long time ago. I was a czech volunteer in Croatia and I had an opportunity to take a part in the Erasmus+ Volunteering Awards competition with the European Youth Card Association. The goal was to create an inspiring video about the European Voluntary Service. In the end I won a trip to Zaragoza and for sure it was an amazing experience. We started our journey in the czech city named Liberec and traveled through Prague, Barcelona to Zaragoza.

We slept in Hotel Hispania for two nights and during the day we observed the city. The life in Zaragora in the night was something what we didn't see before.

Thanks to European Youth Card Association we could visit the local Aquarium, where I saw the biggest fish in my life. For sure it was longer than me. We also visited the Aljafería Palace, which is part of UNESCO and has a unique architecture.

For sure I would come back to Zaragoza once again. For me and my girlfriend it was amazing and really romantic. We enjoyed it and I am already recommending the visit of Zaragoza to my friends. You can enjoy there a real spanish atmosphere and see little bit of history. And you need to taste local food! For sure photos will tell you more than me.
